2019 Ford Focus range have been announced, with the Active and Active X models

Prices for the lifestyle editions of the Focus range have been announced, with the Active and Active X models starting at £22,850 for a hatchback edition with the 118bhp 1.5-litre EcoBlue engine. Available as an estate, too, those versions are priced at £1,100 more. Standard equipment includes a raised ride height of 30mm, 17-inch alloy wheels, chunkier bumpers and wheelarch mouldings, black painted roof and door mirrors, black roof rails, a navigation system, keyless start, rear privacy glass and a selection of driving modes.

Active X versions cost £2,500 more than the Active versions and include larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, power folding door mirrors, rain sensor, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, heated front seats, partial leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic versions are available, with the self-shifting gearbox commanding a price premium of £1,350. Available to order now, the first cars arrive at Ford showrooms early in the new year.
