The first XJ made its debut in 1968, and to celebrate half a century in production, Jaguar has announced a limited edition XJ50 to commemorate the momentous occasion. The XJ50 anniversary edition is available to order now and comes equipped with a 296bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine in both standard- and long-wheelbase editions.
Priced at $74,280 and $77,280 in Canada, respectively, the XJ50 features Autobiography bumpers front and rear, a black front grille, 20-inch Venom alloy wheels and special badging for the side vents and rear of the car. Four colours are offered – Fuji White, Santorini Black, Loire Blue and Rosello Red. On the inside, there’s diamond-quilted leather upholstery with the Jaguar logo embossed into the headrests, an XJ50 logo on the centre armrest, XJ50-branded illuminated door sill protectors and metal gearshift paddles and pedals. The car made its debut at the Beijing motor show and is available to order now at Jaguar dealers.
