Facelifted B-Class. Reshaped headlamps and wider front intakes for the facelift. The revised lower bumper section displays two exhaust pipes. A New wheel, dials and switchgear within. The facelifted W246 B-Class is available to order now, with production starting in November and UK deliveries commencing by the end of the year. Boasting sharper looks and an improved equipment specification, prices start from £22,575 OTR for the B180 manual.

The diesel range comprises the 108bhp B180 CDI capable of 68.9 to 70.6mpg, with 104 to 108g/km CO2 emissions depending on whether the six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is fitted. An Eco version achieves 78.5mpg on the combined cycle with 94g/km CO2.

The 134bhp B200 CDI is available with 4Matic and returns between 56.5 and 70.6mpg, with 104 to 130g/km CO2 emissions. The 175bhp B220 CDI also comes with the choice of 4Matic and hits56.5 to 68.9mpg, with 107 to 130g/km CO2 emissions.

The petrol line up consists of a 120bhp B180 capable of 50.4 to 52.3mpg on the combined cycle, with 125 to 129g/km CO2 emissions. The 154bhp B200 hits 50.4 to 52.3mpg, with 125 to 130g/km CO2 emissions.

Not yet confirmed for the UK is the new B-Class Electric Drive, a zero emissions, all electric model capable of 124 miles on a single charge. With 178bhp/251lb ft torque produced by an electric motor, it will hit 62mph in 7.9 seconds and has a 99mph vmax. Launching in late 2011, well over 350,000 second generation W246 B-Classes have been sold so far.
