Wheeler Dealers TV star Ant Antstead is doing his bit to encourage the next generation of car enthusiast by unveiling his first children’s motoring book at the Classic Motor Show in November. Entitled Petrol Head Parenting, its central character is a boy called Lil’ Noah, who just loves cars.
The book features all-colour illustrations from talented American artist, Noah Elias, with a colourful layout to help nurture a budding passion for cars. It’s been written to help out the parents too, providing tips that help grown-ups to interact with their car-mad little ones.
These include essentials such as including understanding basic engineering, car-focused activities, planning a road trip and even building a soapbox racer.
Ant said: “I truly believe that while not all kids are the same, all kids love something to do with cars. I know I did when I was small, so this book has been a real labour of love and a way of sharing my passion with a new generation of enthusiasts.
“Cars can be an incredibly rewarding hobby, and I hope the book will help bring parents and their children together and create some lasting motoring memories.”
Petrol Head Parenting is priced at £12.99 and is available from Amazon or the book’s website: www. petrolheadparenting.com. Both Ant Anstead and Noah Elias will be launching and signing copies of the book, on sale at a special rate of £10, at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, at Birmingham’s NEC on November 9-11. Tickets are on sale at www.necclassicmotorshow.com.
