This is the Skoda Kodiaq GT – a sleeker version of the flagship Czech SUV with a coupé-like roofline. Don’t head to your nearest dealership just yet, though, because the GT is also the first Skoda model to be exclusively sold in China. From the front you would be hard-pressed to tell the GT apart from the five- and seven-seater, but the sloping roof and short C-pillar give the GT a sporty look missing from the standard SUV.
KODIAQ GT ONLY FOR CHINA
Its tail is fitted with ‘crystalline’ LED rear lights and a fine reflective tape that spans the width of the bodywork beneath the loading sill. The Skoda roundel has been replaced by ‘Skoda’ lettering, previewing the look promised for the upcoming Skoda Scala hatchback. The dashboard is also carried over almost unchanged from the regular SUV, but gains Skoda’s digital Virtual Cockpit as standard.
