Barrett-Jackson Hot Rod

Barrett-Jackson, one of America’s largest car auction houses, has recently collaborated with US kit car manufacturer Factory Five Racing to create a specially licensed kit. Based on the Factory Five ’1935 Hot Rod Truck model, the Barrett-Jackson edition reportedly includes $17,000 worth of upgrades and modifications over the standard kit. That includes everything from special Koni shocks and Wilwood brakes to ice-cold air conditioning and satellite navigation, making this spaceframed hot rod a very comprehensive kit.

To celebrate the collaboration between the two companies, the first concept Barrett truck, serial number 001, was put under the hammer at the prestigious Scottsdale auction in Arizona, before kicking off public sales of the kit.

Over the auction weekend, Factory Five also publicly constructed an additional kit, serial number 003. The Barrett-Jackson special edition ’1935 Truck is available in either kit form in the States for $34,990 or fully assembled by Factory Five (POA) and is configurable with a selection of Ford and Chevrolet V8s.
