Aston goes manual… In a move that will be welcomed By myriad hard-driving enthusiasts, Aston Martin has gone ‘back to mono’ by offering a limited-run-manual version of its latest supercar. Just 200 examples of the Vantage will be given a third pedal and a motorsport-inspired seven-speed gearbox developed by Graziano, featuring a ‘dog-leg’ first gear, to become the £165,000 Vantage AMR. The removal of the automatic transmission and the inclusion of carbon ceramic brakes as standard makes the car almost 100kg lighter.
