Shortly afterwards came news that BMW would cease vehicle production at its UK, European and South African plants from 23rd March, initially for a period of four weeks. Naturally the health and well-being of BMW’s employees was a chief concern, so too potential disruption to its supplier lines and a decline in global market demand for cars during such a time of unprecedented global shutdowns in every industry.
Keen to maintain a line of communication with its customers, BMW UK states that answers to its most frequently asked questions, such as those regarding finance agreements, could be found via its Online Genius portal. Those planning to visit a BMW retailer are advised to telephone ahead to make sure the site in question is open. At the time of writing the ability to book service appointments, search for and reserve BMW Approved Used cars, configure a new car and make an enquiry online remained active.
