Renault has teased a new C-segment crossover vehicle ahead of its unveiling at the Moscow Motor Show in Russia at the end of August. The model will be built at Renault’s Moscow plant, and the country will also be the first market where it will go on sale.
The new challenger is described as a ‘global model’, but it’s not yet clear if the crossover will go on sale in the UK. If it does, it will sit between the Renault Captur – Europe’s best-selling small crossover – and the Kadjar SUV. The shadowy picture reveals a design with striking LEDs that closely resemble those fitted to the Megane hatchback, along with a heavily sculpted bonnet, 3D-effect grille and large Renault badge.
It’s likely to sit on a stretched version of the Captur’s underpinnings, with a specification tailored to buyers tastes in the ‘fastgrowing segment’ and popular markets for Renault, including China. Expect more details as the covers come off later this summer.
